Greetings Crosspoint family and friends,
I am excited about being the new pastor for Crosspoint, but I am not new to the church. After we moved to Jackson Township in 2022, to retire, my husband and I chose to join Crosspoint for several reasons: we were looking for vibrant worship, friendly people and did not want to be the youngest people in a church.
I am a relational evangelist who relies on prayer to hear God’s will. I believe there is a God shaped hole in everyone, and church is a great place to fill it.
As I begin leading Crosspoint, we are seeking to make it truly a place where Christ connects with people through worship, relationships and spiritual growth.
I’ve been serving God through the United Methodist connection about thirty years, as a lay missionary to England and to India, then as ordained clergy. Along the way, we had two sons and a whole host of exchange students. Our sons are now married, and would be surprised that I am mentioning them before their children. Both sons married women we had known and loved since they were teens, and now each family has two children. We are within an hour of both sets of grandchildren, which delights my heart.
Whether you join us online or in person, we pray you find acceptance, fellowship, spiritual depth and personal accountability - the things I seek for myself.
Blessings,
Pastor Peg Welch
