Worship

Crosspoint United Methodist Church is a contemporary church where the atmostphere and dress are casual. We are a young church focused on brining people into a relationship with God and surrounding everyone in prayer.

What time is worship?

Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning

What is Crosspoint’s worhsip service like?

Worship is relaxed and informal with great contemporary praise and worship songs shared by our Praise team. At Crosspoint we invite you to worship and praise God in the way God leads. For some, that is stillness. For some it is closed eyes. For some it is raised hands or clapping. After opening praise music, Pastor Thom shares a message that applies to our everyday lives. We then pray together and strive to grow closer with each other in Christ.

What about communion?

Communion is open to anyone who accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior. Crosspoint serves communion on the first Sunday of each month.

Will I ever be singled out in any way?

You can be assured that you would never be singled out. On occasion people in the congregation participate in our worship service to some degree, but only as much or as little as that person feels comfortable doing. We will respect your comfort level.

Is there a nursery?

A nursery is available for children under two  years old and for toddlers two and three years old during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School hour and the 10:30 a.m. There is a changing table located in the infant nursery.

Can my children worship with me?

Yes, if you wish. To help children receive the most benefit from Sunday worship, we also have some other options. Children Second Grade and below attend the music and prayer portion of the worship service and then are dismissed to J.A.M. Children Third Grade through Fifth Grade remain in worship with their parent(s) for all but the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month when they attend Junior Church.

What is J.A.M.?

J.A.M. stands for Jesus and Me. It is a time for children ages 4 years to 2nd Grade to learn and fellowship with their peers.

What is Junior Church?

This is an opportunity for children Grades 3-5 to experience a worship service designed for them. We will begin worship together as a whole congregation,
then after the offering time the children will go to their Junior Church room and continue to worship with lessons geared toward them.
